Workmanship

Rixson Repairs has built a reputation for quality workmanship and the ability to fix vintage watches others reject.

We are a small family-owned business based in Hastings, England.

We operate an insured postal service for the majority of our work but also collaborate with the clockmaker Alistair Lewis to provide a drop off point in Faversham, Kent.

The Founder

Our founder Joe Chambers is a Director of the British Horological Institute, a world-renowned organisation founded in 1858 that provides training in clock and watchmaking whilst supporting its professional members and aspiring enthusiasts .

 His duties for the institute have included:

-  Digital upgrades to the web offering.

- Working alongside a fellow directors to define transparent professional standards.

- Defining new practical and workplace routes professional membership.

-  Editing educational materials for aspiring professional students and aspiring horologists.
