Chronographs, alarm watches, moon-phases calendars, stop watches and all manner of complications come across our benches.
In these watches the power used for time keeping is also shared with other higher complications. Any friction in any point of interaction can reduce power transfer which eventually leads to stoppage or poor function. As the number of parts increases with these watches the process of finding frictional causes becomes more significant as the variables increase.

There is intense demand for watch repair in general but particularly in this area as many watch repairers turn this work away. This creates a challenging situation where the wait times are really quite significant!
