Wonderful company. Joe at Rixson watch repairs was totally professional and helpful. He went out of his way to Service and repair my watch. Customer service was exceptional.
Excellent service for a watch no one else seemed to be able to do
service was 5 star, constant contact and good updates.
Joe knows his stuff. I dropped him a Vintage Omega constellation bought at auction and asked him to take a look, recommend requirements and carry out a service. Excellent communication and visuals of the process coupled with excellent packaging and delivery. It’s great to have an experienced watchmaker close to home. Now ticking away nicely. Thoroughly recommend.
Very pleased with my father’s omega seamaster which hasn’t worked for years - great service. Couldn’t be happier.

Rixon Repairs worked magic - took a very precious family piece of mine that no one else could help with and restored it to life. Outstanding customer service and craftsmanship - great value too. They have an encyclopaedic knowledge! I will happily use them again.
I used Rixson to do a full restoration and service of my Universal Geneve wristwatch. This was a timepiece that had sentimental value, but after speaking to Joe from Rixson I knew it was in safe hands... And I have to say the end result was exceptional - I regularly receive compliments and it keeps time beautifully.
Would highly recommend Rixson for vintage watch owners.
Quick postage and professional service. They gave a really good service and sent me update photos of my watch as the work was being completed.
Satisfied with this service and will be using them again
Joe was a top bloke and fixed my Rolex Daytona. Will 100% use Joe at Rixson repairs again to service my other watches.

They diagnosed the issue quickly, provided a transparent quote, and handled my watch with such care it felt like I was leaving it with a trusted friend.

Fully insured, so your watch is always protected
Your watch is returned via Royal Mail Special Delivery, insured up to £2,500 (with optional cover up to £250,000).

We have years of hands-on experience, every restoration is carried out in-house by Joseph Chambers, who sits on the board of the BHI.
Our founder’s passion for Omega vintage watches began with his grandfather’s Omega Constellation, pictured above, worn by his father, then passed to him upon retirement.
Joe’s philosophy is rooted in preserving originality, prioritising restoring original parts wherever possible, rather than replacing them.
While this meticulous approach takes more time, it’s a standard of care that resonates deeply with collectors and discerning customers.
Preserving the Heart of Every Timepiece
The patina is a significant part of a watch’s story, each mark, fade, or change tells of its age and history.
That’s why when we restore a watch piece, we aim to treat the crystal, case, dial, and hands in balance. Over-restoring just one element can disrupt the watch’s character.
Our focus is always on preserving originality and keeping the watch’s story intact.

Omega Vintage Watch Repairs FAQs
How much does it cost to have an OMEGA watch repaired?
Costs vary depending on the model, age, and type of service needed. After inspection, we provide a no-obligation quote with transparent pricing. Basic servicing starts from around £350.
Can OMEGA watches be repaired?
Yes, we can repair almost all Omega watches can be repaired or restored, including vintage and complex models. We handle everything from movement overhauls to case and dial restoration.
How to tell the age of an Omega watch?
The serial number (usually engraved on the movement or case) can be matched to Omega’s production records to estimate the year of manufacture. We can help identify this during inspection.
How can you tell if an Omega is vintage?
Typically, Omega watches over 25–30 years old are considered vintage. Design cues, movement type, and serial numbers can also help confirm vintage status.
Do you use genuine Omega parts?
Yes. Wherever possible, we use genuine Omega parts or period-correct replacements for vintage models. We always prioritise authenticity.
Who carries out the repairs?
All repairs are carried out in-house by Joseph Chambers, who sits on the board of directors for BHI
Is my watch insured during shipping?
Yes. We use Royal Mail Special Delivery, insured up to £2,500 as standard. Higher-value coverage is available upon request, up to £250,000.
Do I have to pay for shipping?
We provide a free insured postal pack to send your watch in. Return delivery is included in your final invoice.
Will I be charged if I don’t go ahead with the repair?
No. All assessments and quotes are provided free of charge. If you choose not to proceed, your watch will be returned safely to you.
Do you work on vintage Omega models?
Yes, we specialise in vintage Omega watches. Our restoration approach prioritises preserving original components and the watch’s character.
what timekeeping accuracy can you achieve ?
We can develop astonishing accuracy, often outperforming original factory tolerances. The outcome depends on the condition and service history of the watch, for very worn movements, surpassing factory tolerances may not be possible.
Can my vintage watch be made water resistant?
Due to the age and wear of the case, most vintage watches cannot be guaranteed as water resistant. Gaskets, seals, and case tolerances degrade over time, making it unsafe to expose them to water, even after servicing.
